Here's what you need to know: all students start in the Department of Engineering Education, where you’ll take core classes like math, physics, and two hands-on “Engineering Exploration” courses designed to help you discover what kind of engineer you want to be. Admissions are handled through the main Virginia Tech Office of Undergraduate Admissions, so be sure to check out their website for deadlines and details.
Once you've got the basics down, you can request to join the Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering—a top-notch program that offers a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and lets you dive into everything from building bridges and managing construction projects to protecting water resources and designing smarter transportation systems.
