Overview of Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Construction Engineering for Infrastructure Projects (CEIP) will provide you with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage infrastructure construction projects, such as highways, bridges, water supply systems, and buildings.
In this self-paced program, you will learn how to manage aspects of an infrastructure construction project including project planning; cost estimation; project delivery methods; and construction project administration. Â Additionally, you can also examine sustainability challenges related to infrastructure construction and the policy environment that influences how these projects are planned, implemented, and regulated. Upon completion, you will be better prepared to manage construction projects in owner organizations, engineering firms, and construction companies. You will also have earned a professional credential from Virginia Tech and credit towards a graduate degree.
Courses are offered on-line to accommodate your schedule as well as enrollment on a part-time basis. Currently, you can complete the certificate in three to four academic semesters.
