There are different job fairs at Virginia Tech that offer many different opportunities for student employment, both internships and jobs after graduation. Visit the individual webpages for each career fair for more information such as dates, locations, and companies attending.
The Civil Engineering Career Fair
The CEE Career Fair is hosted through HANDSHAKE. Any current VT student may visit Handshake at Virginia Tech | Career and Professional Development | Virginia Tech (vt.edu) for more information on registering for the platform.
WHO PARTICIPATES: Employers looking for entry level and internship candidates in the field of civil & environmental engineering.
STUDENT: Any student who is interested in an internship, co-op, or full time position in civil & environmental engineering should attend.
WHEN: Event occurs once in each fall and spring semester.
NOTE: Students should upload their resumes in advance so that employers can look at your resumes in advance!
Who Attends: Largest Engineering Career Fair at Virginia Tech which encompasses all areas of engineering.
When: Occurs in Fall semester.
Career Services Co-op & Internship Job Fair
Who Attends: Employers recruiting for co-op and internship candidates.
When: Occurs in Spring semester.
Myers-Lawson School of Construction
Who Attends: Employers looking for entry level and internship candidates in the construction industry.
When: Occurs in both Fall and Spring semesters.
To Note: Students should pre-register for the career fair. Employers will be able to look at your resume beforehand and it will be to your advantage!
